SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES

Virginia Water Well Association

• Scholarship applications will be available in October for the following academic year.
• Applicants must be members, or the spouses, children or grandchildren of member individuals, in good standing (for not less than 1 year) with the Virginia Water Well Association.
• Scholarships are available to undergraduates only.
• Applicants must have maintained at least a 2.5 grade point average during their last two years in school.
• Applicants do not need to be pursuing industry-related degrees; however,

applicants who are seeking degrees in water well or ground water related studies will be given first consideration.

• Applicants may be selected to receive funds only twice.
• Scholarship recipients will be notified in early February, in time for them to be acknowledged at their high school’s award ceremony.
• Winners will be announced at the VWWA banquet in February.
• Press releases will be sent to local papers upon applicant’s request.
