Fall Field Day 2013

« of 110 »

The fall demonstration day was a day full of beauty in the skies, cold crisp air in the morning and warming up nicely into the afternoon. It provided a perfect day to be out and about observing the demonstrations on the hill top and resting for the lectures in the nearby shelter.
With 120 attendees, 41 companies and 11 exhibitors we had a great turn out that filled the seats to hear the lectures started off by Tommy Pierce with Goulds Water Technology and in the afternoon Mike Heatwole with May Supply Company. Demonstrations were held out at the well site where Wayne Fenton, host and owner of Fenton Well Drilling, narrated the day as his pump crew provided the elbow grease to remove and install the pump system. Ty Davidson with Central Virginia Well Fracturing added to the mix during the hydro-developing portion of the day by blowing open the iron laden fractures with high water pressure. Thick orange water poured out of the borehole and samples were taken to test the mineral levels. The day ended with the reinstallation of the pump equipment for a second yield and drawdown test which extended over the following two days.
Thank you to all of the attendees, exhibitors, speakers, and volunteers! Be sure to check out all the photos on Facebook.
