Each year the Virginia Water Well Association provides two opportunities for members and non-members to receive education and exposure to the Water Well Industry.

These opportunities begin in February with the Winter Conference.  This three-day conference provides education through vocational and continuing education hours approved by the state department; Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations (DPOR).  In addition to education, a two-day Trade Show provides the time to meet and greet with all the manufacturers and distributors at one time that support the Water Well Industry throughout the year.  Many manufacturers take this time to showcase the newest product and demonstrate it’s purpose in the booth or outside in a designated demonstration area.  The Winter Conference is also the time of the year to get together and recognize those within the industry through awards and acknowledge the annual VWWA $2,500 Scholarship for a rising student.

An entire day devoted to an outdoor demonstration; better known as the Fall Field Day, provides a full eight hours of education.  Typically held in late September or early October, the program of the day varies from year to year and travels about the state to benefit a group or organization as well as provide onsite tangible education for the attendees.  There is a show also available from exhibitors who take advantage of the laid back displays on their tailgates.
